Terms of use
Last updated: 28 May 2026
These terms cover your use of the Knittle app and the website at knittle.app. They are written to be readable. By using Knittle, you agree to them.
By downloading, installing or using Knittle, you accept these terms. If you do not agree with them, please do not use the app. If you use Knittle on behalf of someone else, you confirm you are allowed to accept these terms for them.
Knittle is an application for iPhone, iPad and Apple Watch that helps you track knitting and crochet projects: row and stitch counters, repeating motifs, session timers, notes and patterns. It is published by an independent developer. The app works without a Knittle account and stores your data in your own private iCloud.
We grant you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable licence to use Knittle on devices you own or control, in line with the App Store Terms of Service. This means:
Knittle is free to download. The free version is supported by a small banner ad. Premium removes the ads and unlocks more features, available through the App Store. All payments are handled by Apple, not by us, under your Apple ID:
Subscriptions renew automatically unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the end of the current period. You manage and cancel subscriptions in your App Store account settings, not in the app. Prices may vary by region and are shown in the App Store before you buy.
Everything you create in Knittle, your projects, counters, notes, photos and attached patterns, belongs to you. We do not claim any ownership over it and we do not access it. It is stored in your private iCloud. You are responsible for the content you add, including any pattern files you attach, and for having the right to use them.
Knittle is a calm tool for makers. When using it, you agree not to:
The Knittle name, logo, app design, icons and texts are the property of the developer and are protected by intellectual property law. These terms do not transfer any of those rights to you. Apple, iPhone, iPad and Apple Watch are trademarks of Apple Inc.
Knittle is provided "as is", with care but without warranty of any kind. We do our best to keep it reliable, but we cannot guarantee it will be free of bugs or always available. To the extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect or incidental damages arising from the use of, or inability to use, the app. Nothing in these terms limits rights you have as a consumer that cannot be waived.
We may update these terms as the app evolves. When we change something meaningful, we update the date at the top of this page. Continuing to use Knittle after a change means you accept the updated terms.
You can stop using Knittle at any time by deleting the app. We may suspend or end your access if you seriously breach these terms, for instance by trying to break or abuse the service.
These terms are governed by French law, without affecting the mandatory consumer protection rules of the country where you live. Any dispute will first be approached in good faith by contacting us directly.
As an app distributed on the App Store, Knittle is also covered by Apple's standard End User License Agreement, which applies in addition to these terms: Apple Standard EULA.
